2008 NHL Playoffs - Western Conference Finals: Detroit Red Wings vs. Dallas Stars Game 5 Preview
May 17th 2008 16:53
Early game, early preview.
Today, the Dallas Stars will fight to live one more day in the Western Conference Finals while the Detroit Red Wings will try to finish off a team that simply won't quit.
After going down 3-0 in the series, the Stars finally found their intensity in Game 4. Going into this series, they have been behaving like a train leaving the station – slow, at first, but quickly picking up speed thanks to their veterans' play. The Wings have to be careful in order to avoid being run over.
Since the Stars have revealed their true identity, the Wings now know what to expect for Game 5. Using only talent doesn't cut it anymore, they have to work hard and strike first to break down the Stars' spirit. The Wings can't afford letting the Stars make this series 3-2 because then, anything becomes possible. It has to be over today.
