2008 NHL Playoffs - Eastern Conference Finals: Penguins vs. Flyers Game 2 Preview
May 11th 2008 22:57
Hey y'all, sorry for posting this so late. Soccer season has started and I just came back from practice. Anyways, this is going to be short.
The Flyers obviously can't stop the one-two punch of Crosby and Malkin without Timmonen in the lineup. what they need to do is spend as much time as possible in the Pens' D-zone and get Fleury out of position as much as possible. Danny Briere's line needs to produce offensively. Umberger/Richards can't bail them out every time.
The Penguins are doing a good job so far. They have to keep using their speed against the pylons that are the Flyers defensemen. They also have to stay disciplined as the Flyers can be very opportunistic and won't waste a chance if its given to them. Maxime Talbot's return tonight will help on the penalty-kill.
And that's pretty much it. I'll post the Wings-Stars Game 2 review later tonight. Oh, and happy Mother's Day!!!!
