2008 NHL Playoffs - Round 2: Montreal Canadiens vs. Philadelphia Flyers Game 2 Preview
April 26th 2008 19:25
Tonight, the Flyers will look to come back from the deflating loss of Game 1. John Stevens has decided to insert enforcer Riley Cote in his lineup and I'm already worried.
Carbonneau has decided to make no changes in his lineup so Breezer is still in and the useless Lapierre line is still intact. With Cote on the other side, I would have loved seeing O'Byrne playing tonight. As it stands, Komisarek is the only player physically imposing on Montreal's roster. If the game gets ugly, expect Bouillon and Kostopoulos to stand up for their teammates. I just hope Sergei Kostitsyn doesn't go on a suicidal quest and takes on Philly's goons. The kid has balls - everyone knows that - but sometimes it's safer to just walk away. One change I would've done is to put Gregory Stewart in Dandenault's place. Stewart can skate and fight while Dandy's only good for saving icing calls, but hey, what do I know?
Other than that, it's all about the goaltenders. Price was okay last game, he can be much better than that; so can Biron. Daniel Brière said that the boos don't bother him yet he couldn't make one single thing right two days ago. He has to pick up his game. By not playing well, he's also making his linemates virtually invisible and that makes life easier for the Habs' defense.
Oh, one last thing - discipline. Both teams have to watch out for penalties and keep their emotions in check. Komisarek failed miserably in that department on Thursday, he better work on that.
