2008 NHL Playoffs - Round 1: Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Ottawa Senators Game 4 Preview

April 16th 2008 22:57
There's not much left this say about this series that hasn't already been said.

The Senators are down 3-0 in this series. I honestly think that tonight's game will be played for pride and oncoming contract negotiations since Bryan Murray will be wearing both GM and coach's hat. Wade Redden, Cory Stillman, Mike Commodore, Randy Robitaille and Martin Lapointe will all be playing for future contracts while players such as Jason Spezza and Dany Heatley will need to justify their expensive deals.

The Pens have the chance to sweep the team that eliminated them last year (they shouldn't take the Sens for granted though). If they do win by four, they better not be thinking that they've achieved something great because they had the easiest ride in the first round compared to the rest of the Eastern Conference.
