2008 NHL Playoffs - Round 1: Montreal Canadiens vs. Boston Bruins Game 2 Preview
April 12th 2008 20:45
Claude Julien prays that his team plays well enough to win a game. Otherwise, he will run out of motivational speeches.
The Bruins can't skate with the Canadiens. They're supposed to use their size to slow down the Canadiens' attack but it was the Canadiens who outhit the Bruins in the first game. Boston needs offense but they don't have the talent. At the risk of repeating myself, the Bruins have to work, and work hard, to beat the Canadiens.
Guy Carbonneau will sport the 'undefeated' tie tonight for the sake of superstition. All he has to do is to keep his team level-headed. Confident but not arrogant. Alex Kovalev made a couple of nice passes during the first game but everyone knows that he can play better than that. Carey Price will have to be ready to face more shots, and to expect the Bruins to crash his net. His defense should provide help when those situations come up.
The Canadiens' gameplan is simple. Do it again. Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. Sting the Bs.
